Austin FC announced the signing of free agent defender Jon Bell on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old veteran is signed through June 2028 with an option for the 2028-29 season.
Bell has posted three goals and two assists in 61 career MLS matches (39 starts) with the Seattle Sounders (2024-25), St. Louis City FC (2023) and the New England Revolution (2021-22).
'Jon is a versatile defender who is familiar with MLS and capable of playing in different positions on the backline,' Austin sporting director Rodolfo Borrell said. 'He is a good addition to our defensive group and we welcome him to Austin.'
Bell won the Supporters' Shield while with New England in 2021 and last year lifted the Leagues Cup as a member of the Sounders.
Born in Rockville, Md., Bell represents Jamaica at the international level with two appearances to date.
