The Detroit Tigers and right-hander Drew Anderson agreed to terms on a one-year, $7 million contract with a club option for $10 million in the 2027 season, the team announced Tuesday.
Anderson, 31, posted a 12-7 record with a 2.25 ERA and 245 strikeouts in 30 starts last season with the SSG Landers of the KBO League.
He spent the last two seasons in South Korea after attending major league spring training with the Tigers as a non-roster invitee in 2024.
Anderson owns a 1-3 record with a 6.50 ERA in 19 career games (two starts) with the Philadelphia Phillies (2017-19), Chicago White Sox (2020) and Texas Rangers (2021). He also pitched with Hiroshima in the Nippon Professional Baseball league for the 2022-23 campaigns.
